Education news:

A student at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Daria Stepanenko, who on September 22 hit Ukraine’s Minister of Education, Science, Youth and Sports Dmytro Tabachnyk in the face with a bouquet of flowers, has decided to terminate her corporate agreement with the university.

...

“The university is not worthy of awarding me a diploma,” Stepanenko believes.

Student Who Hit Tabachnyk Leaves Mohyla in a Scandal

So this is how it works: first the kids breathlessly tell everyone what a cool place they study at, but then the wind blows the other way, the weather vane swings one-eighty, and now it’s “the university is not worthy.”

But there’s an opinion that Daria Stepanenko could get a much better education at another well-known institution. We await news along the lines of “Daria Stepanenko hit the education minister with a cheeseburger.”
