There’s this social network: LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com). It was conceived as a social network for professionals, where you can find business partners, employees, employers. You know, where in all the photos everyone is supposed to be wearing a tie and radiating cheerfulness, to have a better chance of finding a job.

But in the end this social network was struck by the same cancer as any other: idly drifting office plankton.

So there’s this company president and founder sitting there:

— Oh, what a cute little doggie, I think I’ll go show it to all my acquaintances. Where will I do that? On Twitter? Maybe on Facebook? No!!! I’ll do it on LinkedIn, the social network for professionals!

Or there’s this company C-E-O sitting there:

— Hm. What a hard brainteaser! Who should I give it to? Maybe to my little son, who has just moved into seventh grade and started studying algebra? Nooo!!! I’ll give this little problem to other C-E-Os, presidents, and founders!!!

And 157 other C-E-Os rushed to solve a system of equations with three unknowns.

And then at sales meetings they ask the question: “How do you sell through LinkedIn?”.

You don’t. :))))) =^_._^= ;))))
