My friend Roma Hwang writes from distant Korea and sends everyone his regards. He also asked me to help find a bachelor’s student who’s ready to go to South Korea for a few years (that’s the one with Seoul, Samsung, StarCraft, esports, not the one with the big nuclear missile) to complete a master’s and PhD program. Tuition and living expenses are covered by the host side. This letter from Roma can be considered an invitation:

Hi again.

I recently spoke with a professor from the Electronics Department at my university. He wants to invite a smart Ukrainian student to study with him (Master + PhD). Here is some information about the professor.

Soung Hyon (Name) Nam (Surname) Studied in America. Speaks English well. Research Area: — Speech / Audio Processing — Separation, Enchancement, Recognition (of Speech) — Multi-channel / Single-channel

Requirements for the student: — Matlab (Basics), C — Signal Processing background (Fourier Transformation, Convolution, Linear Time invariant systems) — Interest in Signals & System. — English — A desire to complete both a master’s AND a PhD in Korea (AND is capitalized for a reason).

Housing (living expenses + dormitory) and tuition are covered. If everything goes through successfully, the student will be able to start studying as early as next spring. The university admissions procedure starts in October.

If you have questions, email me.

Sincerely, Roman Hwang.
