— Yesterday I needed to prepare a contract, so I installed Microsoft Office.
— Microsoft sucks! Install OpenOffice!

I don’t understand how people can seriously recommend OpenOffice as a program for editing office files. OpenOffice is useful only as an argument that “there is an alternative to Microsoft Office,” and nothing more. I’m sure the apologists for OpenOffice have never tried to edit a document longer than one paragraph. And edit it so that the document looks the way the user wants it to, not the way OpenOffice happened to feel like making it look.

And those very same people say something completely different when it comes to getting from point A to point B.

— Maybe by trolleybus? Or in a Zhiguli?
— Are you an idiot? I’m only going in a Mercedes!
